Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to support water resources infrastructure projects in Kingston, Ontario. The role involves hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, drainage design, and field investigations across Ontario, including Northern Ontario.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Water Resources or related field, be an EIT or eligible within six months, and have 0–3 years of experience. Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Civil, Environmental Eng. or related field.
  • EIT designation or eligible to obtain EIT status within six months.
  • 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience for entry-level EIT.
  • Understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, drainage engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Support hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for transportation projects (drainage, culverts, bridges, sewers).
  • Prepare drainage plans and technical deliverables using Civil 3D workflows.
  • Develop drainage reports, hydrology assessments, and inspection documentation.
  • Perform field investigations and data collection along transportation corridors.
  • Coordinate design deliverables with internal teams, consultants, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with proposal writing and project scheduling/budgeting.
