Job summary

Sunshine Marina in British Columbia seeks Lifeguards/Waterpark Attendants to supervise our inflatable Waterpark for the upcoming season. The role blends physical activity with customer service in a scenic lakefront setting.

The ideal candidate has lifeguarding experience, a positive attitude, and enjoys lake-life. Onsite housing is provided; work is seasonal with June through long weekend in September, 30–40 hours per week, $18–$20 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding certificate or equivalent First Aid preferred or required.
• Ability to operate tablets on Android/iOS for check-in and payments.
• Comfort with fast-paced, guest-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Open Waterpark kiosk and handle guest check-in/payments.
• Provide safety briefings and enforce water safety policies.

Sunshine Marina is seeking Lifeguards/Waterpark Attendants to supervise our inflatable Waterpark for the upcoming season. Lifeguards are an integral part of our operations. The role is physical with a solid dose of customer interaction that will keep any extrovert having fun. The ideal candidate has lifeguarding experience combined with a positive, keen attitude and a love for lake-life.Our robust operations include charter houseboats, various motorized and non-motorized small water craft, a marina store, floating restaurant, waterpark, boat moorage, mechanical services, and a small campground.Our marina is located on Lake Koocanusa, 100 km from Cranbrook and 70 km from Fernie in beautiful South Eastern British Columbia. We pride ourselves on providing a fun environment with amazing customer service. If you love being surrounded by sand, water and a great team of people, join us!

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Starting: Late June through September long weekend. 30-40 hours per week.Hourly Wage: $18-$20 (dependent on certifications and experience). Plus tips!Must be legally available to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor any applicants at this time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Own transportation to the site (located 1 hr 15 min from Cranbrook, 1 hr from Fernie)
• Valid First Aid - Level 3 preferred.
• Paid training offered for the right candidates prior to season start up.
• Lifeguarding certification and experience highly preferred but not required
• Possess good physical condition, high level of swimming ability
• Safety and detail oriented
• Clean Criminal Record Check

DUTIES

• Open the Waterpark kiosk including using a tablet for client check in and payment processing
• Provide info and safety briefing to all guests and enforce water safety policies
• Act as the first responder and administer first aid as needed
• Supervise the waterpark ensuring people are following rules and regulations
• Clean/sanitize and maintain the waterpark, equipment and waterpark kiosk
• Interact with clients to inform them about the lake and our services
• Clean the waterpark docks of garbage or belongings.
• Bring items to the lost and found as required
• Close the waterpark kiosk, stack chairs, haul garbage
• Other duties as required
• Make sure all our clients get the best out of their summer
