  • IICRC S500-1999 certification for Water Damage Restoration is essential.

Job description

Job Title: Lead Water Damage Technician

Compensation: $20 – $23/hour (full-time / permanent)

Due to severe weather events in Ontario, we are experiencing higher-than-normal call volumes. We appreciate your patience.

Water damage in homes or businesses can be highly stressful. As a Lead Water Damage Technician at On Side, you will help restore calm, order, and dryness, alleviating stress for our clients.

The Job

Lead Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) lead a team to respond to water-related disasters such as burst pipes, blocked drains, or sewer backups. Understanding the urgency and working with clients in a caring, calm, and empathetic manner are essential for success. You will work with your team to clean up and restore properties to their pre-disaster condition.

What You Bring
  • Leadership skills and at least 1 year of industry experience as a Lead Water Damage Technician
  • IICRC S500-1999 certification for Water Damage Restoration
  • Knowledge of structural drying procedures and ability to perform assessments according to IICRC guidelines
  • Experience with drying tools (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
  • Organizational skills and punctuality
  • Ability to use technology for recording information
  • Physical fitness
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
  • Proficiency in English

Previous roles such as Water Damage Manager or Lead Hand can translate into success in this position.

Additional Attributes
  • Knowledge of 3D Imaging (not required but beneficial)
Note

This role requires a rotating schedule with 24/7 on-call work due to the unpredictable nature of disasters.
