Compensation: $25- $32 / hour (full-time / permanent)

The Job – Lead Water Damage Technician

At On Side, Lead Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) lead the team, responding to incidents such as burst pipes, blocked drains, sewer backups, or other water-related disasters. Understanding the urgency and working with customers in a caring, calm, and empathetic manner are crucial for success. WDTs work as a team to clean up the mess and restore properties to their pre-disaster state.

What you bring :

A Lead WDT should have a ‘get it done!’ attitude and the following skills and qualifications:

  • IICRC S-Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration certification.
  • Knowledge of structural drying procedures and ability to perform assessments according to IICRC guidelines.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Proficiency with drying tools such as air movers, negative air machines, pressurized drying systems, floor drying systems, and dehumidifiers.
  • Organized with good time management skills.
  • Physically fit.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Previous industry experience (not required) that can be beneficial includes roles such as Water Damage Manager, lead hand, Water Damage Technician, plumber, janitor, vac truck operator, or technician.

Additional skills that could contribute to success include:

  • Knowledge of 3D Imaging.

Of Note

Disasters can occur at any time; therefore, a rotating schedule of 24/7 after-hours on-call work is required.
