Lead Water Damage Technicians at On Side help alleviate water-related stress by restoring calm, order, and dryness.

The Job – Lead Water Damage Technician

At On Side, Lead Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) lead the team, responding to emergencies such as burst pipes, blocked drains, sewer backups, or other water-related disasters.

Understanding the urgency and working with customers in a caring, calm, and empathetic manner are essential for success.

As a team, WDTs clean up the mess to restore properties to their pre-disaster condition.

What You Bring

A Lead WDT should have a proactive attitude and the following skills and qualifications:

  • IICRC S-Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration certification
  • Knowledge of structural drying procedures
  • Ability to perform structural drying assessments per IICRC guidelines
  • Experience with multi-unit structural drying assessments
  • Leadership skills and team management experience
  • Proficiency with drying equipment (air movers, negative air machines, pressurized drying systems, dehumidifiers)
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Physical fitness
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Industry experience such as water damage management, plumbing, janitorial work, or equipment operation can be beneficial.

Additional knowledge of 3D Imaging is a plus but not required.

Additional Notes

Disasters can occur at any time, requiring availability for rotating 24/7 on-call shifts.
