Clean Harbors in Guelph, ON is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to manage plant operations on a defined shift rotation. You will perform operating and maintenance tasks, collect samples, record data, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; wastewater certification preferred.
• Valid G license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety always prioritized by following safe work practices.
• Collect water and wastewater samples per procedures.
• Repair and maintain PVC and steel piping as required.
• Perform routine lab tests to optimize treatment processes.
• Record data on logs and spreadsheets; assist with data interpretation.
• Operate, monitor and inspect process equipment and controls.
• Maintain reports for internal regulatory agencies.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in water and wastewater plants.
