Job description

Our client is a small engineering consulting firm based in Kamloops that specializes in wastewater consulting. We are looking for a professional to join their team with experience in wastewater consulting and design. This is an opportunity to join a small team of professionals that value high quality engineering work, delivering value to clients and finding the right balance of work/life, living in beautiful Kamloops, BC. Our client is willing to relocate the right individual to their city for the position.

Candidates with a professional designation (P.Geo, P.Eng or P.Ag), an interest in groundwater and wastewater consulting, and 2-5 years of experience in wastewater consulting are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Project management of wastewater projects in both private and public settings.
• Perform technical research related to projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert on wastewater treatment process analysis (biological, mechanical and chemical).
• Direct the work of drafters and designers while mentoring and coaching.
• Perform onsite wastewater disposal system investigations.
• Design wastewater systems.

Qualifications:

• A current designation of P.Geo, P.Ag or P.Eng ,preferably in BC.
• Experience in project management.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with wastewater consulting.
• Aptitude in onsite wastewater disposal system investigations and design.
• General understanding of hydrogeology, environmental sciences and treated wastewater studies.
• Experience in well water drilling and rehabilitation programs, pumping tests, slug tests and water sampling is considered an asset.
• ROWP designation is considered a major asset but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to re-locate to Kamloops, BC.
