Job summary

Reworld, a Canada-based leader in sustainable waste solutions, seeks a Waste Treatment Technician II to support industrial waste processing at the Chambly facility. The role involves operating a range of equipment with minimal supervision and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include handling incoming materials, performing quality checks, maintaining records, and assisting with site housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience or more.
  • Able to pass the respirator fit test.
  • Able to use NetSuite.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management.
  • Able to operate cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks and other tools.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to kneel, crawl, bend, twist or crouch for long periods; stand/walk/sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Understand basic site permit requirements and perform daily activities to support safety and compliance.
  • Operate equipment including high-pressure washers, power tools, forklifts and other tools per policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Safely operate mobile equipment inside the facility.
  • Unload incoming parcels, tank trucks and containers.
  • Process incoming materials using site and mobile equipment.
  • Quality control of waste streams and associated lab analysis for receipt/shipment.
  • Complete and submit documents related to site operations and regulatory recordkeeping.
  • General cleaning of the site and grounds.

About the role

Le Technicien de traitement des déchets II (WPT II) est un poste de niveau intermédiaire au sein des opérations de l'installation chez Reworld. Le WPT II sera expérimenté et capable de réaliser le traitement des déchets industriels sur tous les flux de déchets, en utilisant les différentes technologies et équipements à leur disposition, avec peu de supervision directe.

Responsabilités :
  • Comprendre les exigences de permis de base de l'installation et effectuer les activités quotidiennes pour soutenir toutes les exigences de sécurité et de conformité.
  • Opérer une variété d'équipements, y compris mais sans s'y limiter, des nettoyeurs haute pression, des outils électriques, des chariots manuels, des chariots élévateurs et d'autres outils électriques, conformément aux politiques et procédures de l'entreprise ainsi qu'à aux exigences de l'OSHA.
  • Opérer en toute sécurité des équipements mobiles (par exemple, chariot de manutention) à l'intérieur des limites de l'installation.
  • Être capable de décharger des colis entrants, des camions-citernes et des conteneurs.
  • Traiter les matériaux entrants en utilisant les équipements de l'installation et les équipements mobiles.
  • Contrôle qualité/contrôle de la qualité du flux de déchets et analyse en laboratoire associée à la réception et à l'expédition des déchets et des matériaux.
  • Compléter et soumettre tous les documents associés à l'installation (réception de l'installation, comptage des pièces, vérification des matériaux, révision des manifestes, etc.) associés à la tenue des dossiers réglementaires et de sécurité.
  • Nettoyage général de l'installation et des terrains.
Exigences :
  • Diplôme d'études secondaires / GED requis
  • 1 an d'expérience ou plus
  • Capacité à réussir le test d'adaptation du respirateur
  • Capacité à utiliser NetSuite
  • Doit faire preuve de bon jugement et de compétences en résolution de problèmes
  • Faire preuve de minutie et de gestion du temps
  • Doit être capable d'opérer des grues, des chariots élévateurs, des chariots manuels et d'autres outils électriques
  • Doit être capable de soulever et de déplacer jusqu'à 50 livres
  • S'agenouiller, ramper, se pencher, se tordre ou se courber pendant de longues périodes
  • Marcher et/ou rester debout et/ou assis pendant de longues périodes
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Office, notamment Outlook, Word et Excel
  • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 19.23 - 25.53 CAD per hour.
