Job description

Wash Bay Attendant

The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for supporting the company's performance by ensuring driver satisfaction and maintaining efficiency within the Maintenance department. The role requires a team-oriented individual who communicates effectively with the Shop Supervisor and Yard Supervisor in a timely and thorough manner. A professional attitude and a good understanding of providing excellent service to drivers and co-workers are essential.

Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Wash trailers and tractors manually and with automated equipment.
  • Thoroughly detail tractor interiors.
  • Move tractors into and out of the shop and around the yard.
  • De-decal retiring trailers.
  • Perform winter start-up operations such as thawing, boosting, and starting equipment during winter months.
  • Quickly check trailers in yards to identify defects before they go on the road.
  • Fuel trailers using pickup trucks and slip tanks.
  • Complete electronic wash bay logs.
  • Recognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipment.
  • Communicate status updates with Shop and Yard Supervisors.

  • Previous experience in a shop service-related environment is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and email.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • Willingness to learn to operate daycab/highway tractors with automated transmissions and various heavy equipment (front end loader, forklift, etc.).
Shift Details:

Afternoon shift available: Continental Shift 06:00-18:00.
