Job summary

Fresh Direct Produce in Vancouver, BC is seeking a reliable full-time Warehouseman to join our Kent Office team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Shift hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Full training provided.

As part of the Operations Team, you will unload, pick, pack, and move fresh products, ensure FIFO compliance, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and uphold health and safety standards. Our compensation starts at CAD 19–21 per hour and grows with performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse operating tools (e.g., scrubbers, power wash).
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating a power jack is an asset.
• Ride-on pallet jack experience is required.
• Comfortable working in and out of coolers.
• Strong teamwork mentality and practices.
• Knowledge of workplace safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, unpacking, moving, and loading material. Inspecting incoming product, verify conditions and quantities.
• Picking, packing and re-packing orders efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure pallets are in good condition and meet customer requirements.
• Follow food safety and work safety procedures and regulations.
• Take physical inventory updates and check quality conditions.
• Follow FIFO and sub-lists as required.
• Report discrepancies or issues to team leader or supervisor.
• Operate and maintain forklifts and related material handling equipment.
• Dispose product to designated containers.
• Assist other departments during busy hours as needed.

As a member of our Operations Team, you will work as part of a team to handle fresh products safely while complying with health & safety standards. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:

• Unloading, unpacking, moving, and loading material. Inspecting incoming product, verify conditions and quantities
• Picking, packing and re-packing orders in an efficient and accurate manner
• Ensure pallets are in good condition before using and are of the correct type as required by customer
• Ensuring all food safety, work safety procedures, policies, and regulations are followed
• Taking physical inventory update and checking quality conditions
• Following FIFO and sub-lists as required
• Reporting any discrepancies or any work-related issues to their team leader or supervisor
• Operating and maintaining various material handling equipment, such as forklift trucks and electric power jacks
• Product disposal to the designated containers
• Assisting other departments (receiving, grading, shipping) during busy hours as needed

What we offer:
We offer a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary of $19 - $21 per hour.
