Job summary

The North West Company in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Warehouse Worker-Outbound on a 6-month term. This role supports outbound shipping, ticketing, packing, and receiving at our Winnipeg Logistics Centre.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm, with opportunities for growth and a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities include assisting the Outbound Manager with traffic flow, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
• Forklift experience is an asset; certification required.
• Knowledge of airport/airplane loading procedures.
• Working knowledge of WMS is preferred.
• Must possess strong attention to detail to follow SOPs accurately.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Sufficient literacy level to perform required tasks.
• Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures.
• Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Outbound Manager with traffic flow of goods.
• Perform Outbound Shipping Department tasks including unloading/loading trailers, strapping and sorting cartons.
• Process merchandise to proper locations for shipping.

Warehouse Worker-Outbound (Up-to 6 mos Term)

Status: Part Time - Term( 6 Months) Shift: Monday - Friday (9am - 5:30pm) In your role as Warehouse Personnel, Days - Outbound Dock Operations at The North West Company (NWC), you support the distribution center, which is responsible for distributing products to our stores through order picking, ticketing, packing, as well as shipping and receiving. Desired Skills & Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience involving shipping and/ or receiving preferred;
• Previous forklift and other Material Handling Equipment experience is an asset. Ability to obtain certification is required;
• Must have knowledge of airport/airplane loading procedures;
• Working knowledge of WMS preferred;
• Must possess strong attention to detail to be able to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) accurately;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment;
• Possess a sufficient literacy level to perform the required tasks;
• Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures; and
• Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
