Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-minded team in Windsor, Ontario. This temporary-part-time role supports a three-shift rotation (Night 11pm–7am, Day 7am–3pm, Afternoon 3pm–11pm).

Pay is $27.17/hour with benefits and growth opportunities. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading/unloading trailers, dock operations, scanning with the WMS, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• One year of warehouse experience with a sit-down, counterbalance forklift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Able to work overtime and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Open and close dock doors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Use a warehouse management system to scan products.
• Complete quality control checks.
• Communicate with internal departments for clarification.

Job description

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

This position is Temporary-Part Time to start and supports a three-shift rotation. Candidates must be available to work the following shifts as required by business need:

• Night Shift: 11pm – 7am
• Day Shift: 7am – 3pm
• Afternoon Shift: 3pm – 11pm

Pay:

$27.17/hour

Major Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Update existing records
• Review data for errors or inconsistencies
• Communicating with internal departments for clarification
• Use basic math skills
• Complete quality control checks
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience with a sit down, counterbalance forklift
• Material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibile, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required
