Job summary

Penske Logistics Canada Ltd. is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious team in Woodstock, Ontario. The role focuses on operating electric counterbalance trucks, staging products, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining inventory while adhering to safety requirements.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:45PM-1:45AM with a pay rate of $25.40 per hour. Candidates must pass equipment tests and be able to perform clerical tasks, scan products, and assist with order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Experience with counterbalance trucks required.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational, time-management and customer-service skills.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Flexible to work overtime and maintain full attendance.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass reference verification.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric counterbalance trucks.
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading.

• Sort and place parts in racks or designated areas.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling).
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Identify and remove damaged products on receipt.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

Counterbalance truck experience required. Candidate must be able to pass an equipment test. All machines at this location are sit-down, electric Toyota counterbalance trucks.

Multiple Shifts:

First 90 days will work on afternoon shift, then will be placed on scheduled shift

Work Schedule:

Major Responsibilities:

• -Operating electric counterbalance trucks
• -Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• -Loads and unloads trailers
• -Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• -Move materials within the warehouse
• -Complies with all safety requirements
• -Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• -Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• -Quality control
• -Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• -Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• -Maintains inventory records
• -Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• -Experience with counterbalance trucks required
• -Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• -Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• -Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
• -Flexible to work overtime preferred
• -Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• -Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required
