Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Worker for a 3-month contract at our new Distribution Center in Port Coquitlam, BC. This position runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and involves picking/packing orders, receiving inventory, and operating warehouse equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work full-time with possible overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• WHMIS and TDG certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders, receive and store inventory.
• Check stock for wear/damage and report discrepancies.
• Prepare and pack special orders for stores and customers.
• Scan bar codes using a hand scanner.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyors, walkie talkies and autonomous vehicles.
• Exercise caution around moving machinery like order pickers and forklifts.
• Use online stock control system to perform tasks.
• Perform general warehouse duties, keeping areas clean and organized.

What you’ll do:

• Pick and pack orders, as well as receive and put away inventory
• Diligently check stock for wear/damage and report faults and discrepancies
• Follow the procedure for preparing and packing special orders for our stores and customers
• Scan bar codes on products from totes to pallets and packages using a hand scanner
• Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyor systems, walkie talkies, and work with autonomous vehicles
• Practice caution when working around moving machines, such as order pickers, forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and mobile carts
• Use an online stock control system to perform specific tasks
• Perform general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and tidy

Do you fit the part?

• You are a high school graduate or equivalent
• You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
• You are open to flexible work schedules, including but not limited to overtime and weekend shifts
• Must be able to work full time.
