Job description

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government overseeing the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in British Columbia. It handles the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis and operates retail brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

The LDB is dedicated to supporting the government's goals of improving lives, enhancing services, and ensuring a sustainable future for BC. The Branch manages two Distribution Centres with an annual throughput of approximately 14 million cases. Under supervision, the Warehouse Worker 2 operates electric pallet jacks and order pickers to assemble shipments for retail and wholesale clients.

The position offers an hourly wage starting at $26.07 - 30.26/hr and is a unionized role. Applicants must submit a resume demonstrating how they meet the job qualifications.

Job Requirements
  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Available for up to full-time hours (35 hours/week)
  • Physically capable of lifting cases to various heights
  • Ability to identify sequences of numbers (essential)
  • Criminal record check and references required

Positions are available for day, afternoon, and night shifts. The warehouse operates Monday to Friday, requiring a minimum of 3 shifts per week (21 hours).

Hours of Work
  • Day Shift: 6:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Night Shift: 10:30 pm - 6:00 am
