Lordco Auto Parts in Port Alberni, BC is hiring a Warehouse Worker. We’re a large automotive parts distributor with a family feel and strong benefits. You’ll join a team that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork as you support storing, packing, and shipping tasks.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, experience in a warehouse, and flexibility to work weekends. Starting wage is $18.40+/hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• WHMIS and TDG certifications are assets.
• Flexible work schedules, including weekends, are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders and receive/put away inventory.
• Check stock for wear/damage and report faults.
• Prepare and pack special orders for stores/customers.
• Scan bar codes with a hand scanner.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyors, and walkie talkies; may work with autonomous vehicles.
• Exercise caution around moving machinery (order pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, carts).
• Use online stock control system for tasks.
• Perform general warehouse duties including keeping areas clean and tidy.

What you’ll do:

• Pick and pack orders, as well as receive and put away inventory
• Diligently check stock for wear/damage and report faults and discrepancies
• Follow the procedure for preparing and packing special orders for our stores and customers
• Scan bar codes on products from totes to pallets and packages using a hand scanner
• Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyor systems, walkie talkies, and work with autonomous vehicles
• Practice caution when working around moving machines, such as order pickers, forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and mobile carts
• Use an online stock control system to perform specific tasks
• Perform general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and tidy

Do you fit the part?

• You are a high school graduate or equivalent
• You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• You have previous work experience in a warehouse setting
• Forklift certification is considered an asset
• WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
• You are open to flexible work schedules, including weekend shifts
