Summary

Leads (Commissary Agents 3) assist in communicating policies and procedures within their operation. Lead agents help direct and coordinate activities to ensure a safe environment and efficient service. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet goals. A professional and positive image must be maintained, with a strong emphasis on leading by example.

Leads report regularly and punctually to their supervisor or manager on duty. They perform all functions of Commissary 2 Agents as needed and ensure compliance with uniform, appearance, and PPE policies.

Job Duties
  1. Oversee a team of 4-5 employees each shift.
  2. Delegate and assign responsibilities for flights and tasks.
  3. Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  4. Conduct operational and safety briefings for each flight.
  5. Follow airline SOPs and ensure aircraft is loaded correctly.
  6. Ensure PPE and safety measures are in place and adhered to.
  7. Perform foreign object debris walks and communicate updates.
  8. Manage driver logs, fueling, and truck inspections.
  9. Report aircraft issues to the flight crew.
  10. Generate and send incident reports within 3 hours of occurrence.
  11. Complete logs and coordinate catering and other requirements per SOP.
  12. Work independently or as part of a team, notifying management of changes.
  13. Participate in meetings and provide training and support to staff.
  14. Oversee aircraft turnaround activities, ensuring SLA compliance and safety.
  15. Ensure safety and security of all employees.
  16. Perform internal audits and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Clear criminal record and necessary security clearances.
  • Airport vehicle operator permit.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work within time parameters, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of airline and corporate training programs.
