Job summary

TSG Staffing Services is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Technician for an opportunity in the greater Edmonton area to work in an operating plant environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring correct parts and equipment are supplied to onsite clients, maintaining inventory in SAP, and supporting maintenance outages. The role requires 3+ years warehouse experience, WHMIS and forklift certification, and strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience.
• High School diploma or post-secondary education preferred.
• WHMIS and Forklift certification are required.
• Experience with SAP and Excel is preferred.
• Experience with Turnarounds in industrial site production/maintenance is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operations of all the warehouses and storage areas.
• Warehouse operations include shipping, receiving, issuing, storage, returns, physical inventory counts, and Vendor Managed Inventory programs.
• Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) on materials as required.
• Ensure Inventory stored in the warehouse is maintained and accurate in the SAP Material Master in accordance with SAP Best Practices and specific policies.
• Analyze and continuously monitor inventory status to reduce costs and improve site and warehouse efficiency.
• Make recommendations on slow-moving materials, Maintenance, Reliability, Capital Inventory Improvements, Obsolescence, Optimization, Implementation, and steward Materials Management Best Practices.
• Provide department support with the site Maintenance Planned Outages and Turnarounds.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of warehouse experience is required.
• High School diploma or post-secondary education preferred.
• WHMIS and Forklift certification are required.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Excel is preferred.
• Experience working in a large warehouse using SAP shipping, receiving inventory, and cycle counts.
• Experience with Turnarounds in an industrial site production/maintenance environment is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required.
