WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

The Warehouse Technician maintains and organizes Côté Gold’s warehouses, handling goods receiving, storage, and dispatch for operational items and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1: Warehouse maintenance and organization

• Liaise with customers, vendors, and transport companies.
• Plan and monitor storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders.
• Oversee stock control and process received orders.
• Maintain accurate data in stock control systems.
• Plan future capacity requirements.
• Produce reports and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure quality service.
• Order required items as requested.
• Receive, rotate, count, and tag inventory.
• Stock materials and supplies.
• Drive to vendor or site as needed.
• Maintain tools and ensure safe storage of hazardous materials according to WHMIS standards.
• Prepare inventory counts and liaise with departments on materials usage.

Area 2: Operational excellence

• Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
• Seek to improve skills and identify inefficiencies.
• Share problems and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Consider risks in throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost.

Area 3: Collaboration and reliability

• Coordinate with team members to meet shift goals.
• Mentor and train new staff.
• Participate actively in team efforts.
• Communicate clearly and maintain accurate logs.
• Report deficiencies and participate in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice to Haves

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience in a construction/industrial warehouse environment.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and different environments.
• Sense of urgency and focus.
• Driver’s license required.
