We’re currently hiring for a Warehouse Team Lead for our Edmonton – Glass location. In this role, you’ll be challenged to think on your feet, learn on the job and get a little bit better each and every day, with the support of a team that always has your back. There’s more to any job than words on a page, but the focus of this role is shipping, receiving, logistics and transportation activities related to the movement of material and finished products. On any given day, the Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for:

1. Coordinating, managing and expediting the flow of material and finished product through the warehouse areas to ensure timely preparation for shipping.
2. Ensuring material and finished products shipped are properly packaged, labeled and secured for handling and shipping.
3. Inspecting all shipping documentation and labels to ensure accuracy of information prior to shipping, taking photos for AWWC shipments going to the project job site, and performing other activities required to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective methods for shipping are applied.
4. Ensuring materials and finished products are properly prepared for shipment, picked, staged and/or stored for easy identification and retrieval on the day of shipping or pick up.
5. Ensuring proper loading techniques are used and overseeing the secure and accurate loading of deliveries.
6. Inspecting inbound and outbound material and finished products quality control and documenting and reporting deficiencies.
7. Confirming receipt of inbound material by comparing what was ordered to what was received, and documenting and reporting any deficiencies to Purchasing.
8. Preparing documentation (Packing Slip, Bill of Lading, Pick Tickets, etc.) and maintaining accurate filing of shipping documents.
9. Auditing and reviewing shipping documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate relative to the physical load on the truck.
10. Ensuring customers and business partners that are picking up product at the facility are given priority service, which includes loading their material and/or products and completing all required documentation.
11. Leading warehouse workers to ensure daily targets are met and problem-solving as necessary.
12. Assisting in coaching employees as required.

1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
2. At least 2 years shipping and receiving experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Forklift and first aid certification considered an asset; willing to train.
4. Interpersonal communication with customers via phone, email, and in person.
5. Ability to organize, set and follow priorities for self and team and to make decisions aimed at accomplishing the work objectives and tasks is required.
