Warehouse Team Lead (Morning Shift)

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager – morning shift

Department: Operations

Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (Day Shift 9.00-5.30)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily staff and resource planning in conjunction with Warehouse Manager
  • Provide clear direction for the team, driving performance towards being best in class
  • Daily creation and review of statistics concerning warehouse activity
  • Management of the daily processes with a strong focus on quality, cost and safety
  • Work with the team to create sustainable, realistic and achievable goals and timeframes for completion
  • Handle all aspects of stock management and rotation in conjunction with Warehouse Manager
  • Manage daily cycle counting of stocks ensuring full accuracy of company stocks
  • Identification of areas for improvement with a customer centric focus
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with internal departments including but not limited to Procurement, Dispatch, Customer Service and Sales team
  • Full adherence to and delivery of all health & safety policies and procedures
  • Provide training/retraining and effectively communicate any changes to the team
  • Ensure successful induction is completed fully for all new employees joining the team
  • Manage the upkeep and overall tidiness of all warehouses ensuring excellent standards N.B.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • A strong proven track record of achievement in stock management/control
  • Advanced knowledge in logistics processes and WMS supporting systems
  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Systematic and detailed in all their documentation and correspondence
  • A strong work ethic and bring a high level of energy to the role.
