Opportunity Overview :

Dessert Holdings is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our London, Ontario facility. This individual will manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes to support our business objectives.

Core hours will be 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Tuesday to Saturday.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to the success of the supply chain by maintaining an organized warehouse and meeting all deadlines.
  • Manage warehouse team scheduling, payroll, and coordinate inbound, outbound, and WIP activities.
  • Supervise the safe execution of warehouse functions, providing support and guidance to staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of activities such as consumption, reconciliation, cycle counts, material staging, FIFO, etc.
  • Liaise with carriers and supply chain partners to ensure timely inbound and outbound loads.
  • Participate actively in the health and safety committee.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and recall activities.
  • Supervise warehouse performance, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and cost reduction through staff coaching and development.
  • Ensure compliance with warehousing policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Transportation, Distribution, Operations, or Warehouse Supervision.
  • Practical knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management, including inventory control, materials planning, and transportation.
  • Proven skills in continuous improvement and change management.
  • Ability to utilize technology and systems for problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in a team environment.

Specialized Skills :

  • Knowledge of warehouse systems and asset management.
  • Experience in planning operations and managing supplier relationships.
  • Power Equipment certification is preferred.

Optional Equipment and Software :

MS Office, Inventory systems, Ordering systems, Transportation systems, Demand Planning Systems.
