Job summary

Rexel Canada – Atlantic Division in Dartmouth is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at the Dartmouth branch. You will coordinate workflow, train staff, and ensure safe, efficient handling of goods in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires a minimum Grade 12, 2+ years in a warehouse supervisory capacity, and strong skills in Excel/Word/Outlook, plus forklift or reach-lift capabilities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a comparable role within a Distribution Centre.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to operate a Reach lift; forklift would be an asset.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Centre.
• Forklift experience or certificate would be an asset.
• Strong teamwork, organization and communication skills.
• Operations and sales focus.

Responsibilities

• Administering workflow and preparing work schedules of team members to meet customer service demands.
• Training employees on proper processes and sub-processes as determined by the Warehouse Manager.
• Determining which positions should be rotated and cross-trained between team members.
• Ensuring proper housekeeping and a productive, compliant work area.
• Maintenance and proper usage of equipment and machinery.
• Ensuring health and safety measures are followed.
