Job description

Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a leading company in Telecommunications and Fiber Optic Solutions? America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Lead for Canadian Operations in Langford, British Columbia.

Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager, the warehouse supervisor will lead, develop, and motivate a team of warehouse associates. Responsibilities include overseeing various warehouse activities such as order picking and shipping, receiving stock, maintaining inventory accuracy, and organizing the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with the Logistics Manager on material lists for booking with service providers.
2. Manage shipment schedules and communicate with carriers.
3. Track shipments and communicate delays.
4. Verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
5. Organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins.
6. Label and mark inventory items appropriately.
7. Monitor and fulfill pull requests for materials.
8. Maintain accurate inventory records and report to Inventory Control Lead.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PMO, Operations, and Inventory Control.
10. Assist in inventory forecasting and conduct periodic audits.
11. Ensure safety and operational procedures are followed by personnel and contractors.
12. Act as point of contact for material delivery inquiries.
13. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
14. Conduct team and safety meetings.
15. Promote environmental, health, and safety policies.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with shipping and inventory control.
• Experience with telecommunications materials is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to lift over 30 lbs.
