Warehouse Afternoon Supervisor

What You Will Be Doing as Warehouse Afternoon Supervisor: The Warehouse Supervisor is fully responsible for the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of 3PL coordination services to our internal and external customers. Main responsibilities include customer relationships, financial accountabilities, and people management.

• Maintain customer relationships
• Support Warehouse Manager in adhering to financial obligations
• Staff planning to avoid excess overtime expenses

Manage Staff:

• Manage performance of all reports
• Ensure adequate training of staff
• Support and guide growth and development of direct reports
• Ensure timely performance evaluations
• Deal with performance issues and consult with HR/Management guidance for complex issues

Warehouse Operations:

• Follow programs implemented to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
• Oversee all warehouse services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to meet customer requirements
• Keep teams updated with daily operational issues and priorities
• Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety & Security programs to ensure safety of personnel, equipment, and property
• Comply with GMP requirements to meet all quality and regulatory standards such as Health Canada
• Strive for continuous improvement in warehouse operations
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on warehouse operations
• Maintain warehouse supplies and re-order when needed using cost-saving methods

Qualifications:

• 3-7+ years’ experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
• 2-3+ years leadership / supervisory experience with 10-15+ direct reports
• Experience managing distribution centers
• Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures
• Knowledge of health and safety and employment standards legislation
• Knowledge of production and quality systems (GxP, ISO, Document Control, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Diploma / Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred
