Job description

Warehouse Afternoon Supervisor

What You Will Be Doing as Warehouse Afternoon Supervisor:

The Warehouse Supervisor is fully responsible for the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of 3PL coordination services to our internal and external customers. Main responsibilities include customer relationships, financial accountabilities, and people management.

  1. Maintain customer relationships
  2. Support Warehouse Manager in adhering to financial obligations
  3. Staff planning to avoid excess overtime expenses
Manage staff:
  1. Manage performance of all reports
  2. Ensure adequate training of staff
  3. Support and guide growth and development of direct reports
  4. Ensure timely performance evaluations
  5. Deal with performance issues and consult with HR/Management guidance for complex issues
Warehouse Operations:
  1. Follow programs implemented to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
  2. Oversee all warehouse services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to meet customer requirements
  3. Keep teams updated on daily operational issues and priorities
  4. Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety & Security programs to ensure safety of personnel, equipment, and property
  5. Comply with GMP requirements to meet quality and regulatory standards such as Health Canada
  6. Strive for continuous improvements in warehouse operations
  7. Prepare accurate and timely reports on warehouse activities
  8. Maintain warehouse supplies and reorder when needed using cost-saving methods
Qualifications:
  • 3-7+ years’ experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
  • 2-3+ years leadership / supervisory experience with 10-15+ direct reports
  • Managerial experience with distribution centers
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures
  • Knowledge of health and safety and employment standards legislation
  • Knowledge of production and quality systems (GxP, ISO, Lean, etc.)
  • Diploma / Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred
What You Will Receive:
  • Salary of 75k+ based on experience

  • 3pm-11:30pm
