Job summary

HUNGRY is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Toronto warehouse operations, overseeing a team of Warehouse Associates and Drivers. You will manage receiving, inventory controls, order fulfillment, and quality checks to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organization, and the ability to train and motivate staff while maintaining safety standards in refrigerated and ambient areas.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse, fulfillment, or food distribution.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in refrigerated environments.

The Role

The Warehouse Supervisor leads day-to-day execution of HUNGRY's Toronto warehouse and fulfillment operations, overseeing a team of Warehouse Associates/Drivers. This role coordinates receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and quality-control processes while ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery across the warehouse.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise, schedule, and coach Warehouse Associates/Drivers across daily shifts


• Train new hires on warehouse systems, safety procedures, and quality standards; provide ongoing performance feedback


• Assign daily tasks and ensure adequate staffing to meet receiving, picking, and delivery schedules

Receiving & Inventory Management

• Oversee and assist with receiving of inbound product, verifying quantities, condition, and expiration dates against expected deliveries


• Ensure proper storage in dry, refrigerated, and frozen locations, and enforce FIFO and product rotation


• Maintain accurate inventory records in Sortly and other HUNGRY systems; lead cycle counts and physical inventories


• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged product, shortages, and expired product

Order Fulfillment & Quality Control

• Oversee and assist with order picking, packing, and labeling to ensure accuracy in product, quantity, and pack size


• Verify completed orders for SKU and quantity accuracy before release; correct errors before orders leave the warehouse


• Manage staging of dry, refrigerated, and frozen orders by client, route, and delivery schedule, and support driver load-out

Warehouse Safety & Compliance

• Enforce food-safety, sanitation, and cold-chain procedures, and maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work areas


• Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment, carts, pallet jacks, and ladders; address equipment or facility issues promptly


• Oversee opening and closing warehouse procedures

Operational Support

• Partner with Warehouse Associates, drivers, and Operations team to ensure orders are completed on schedule


• Communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, and operational issues promptly to leadership


• Support warehouse setup, organization, and process improvements as the Toronto operation grows

Requirements

• 2+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or food distribution experience; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order and inventory accuracy


• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment


• Comfortable using inventory management technology, including barcode/QR scanning and mobile applications


• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to identify and elevate issues appropriately


• Dependable attendance and punctuality, particularly for early-morning shifts


• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods


• Ability to safely use warehouse carts, pallet jacks, ladders, and related equipment


• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for periods of time
