We engineer and assemble speed control equipment for a wide range of electric motor applications. In addition to VFD's, we also do DC drives, soft starts, servo controls and PLC systems.

What you will be doing:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, shipping, inventory control, material flow, space utilization, and warehouse safety. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this hands‑on role supervises the warehouse team, ensures accurate ERP/WMS transactions, and supports the timely availability of materials for production and customer requirements.

The Warehouse Supervisor will also ensure shipping and receiving activities are executed timely and safely as required by the rest of the operation. These duties include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Leadership

  • Plan, assign, and oversee the daily workload of the warehouse team.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse employees.
  • Set priorities based on production requirements, customer orders, receiving activity, and shipping deadlines.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, safety, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Provide hands‑on support during workload peaks, urgent shipments, inventory counts, or employee absences.
  • Maintain effective communication with Supply Chain, Production, Service, Project Management, Finance, and Customer Service.

Receiving and Material Flow

  • Oversee receiving, inspection, identification, labelling, put‑away, and internal movement of materials.
  • Ensure receipts and material movements are completed accurately and promptly in the ERP and WMS.
  • Investigate and elevate shortages, damages, incorrect materials, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Ensure quarantined, returned, customer‑supplied, project‑specific, and nonconforming materials are properly identified and segregated.
  • Prevent unprocessed materials from accumulating in receiving, staging, red‑tag, or temporary holding areas.

Picking, Shipping and Logistics

  • Oversee the accurate and timely picking, packing, staging, and shipping of customer orders, work orders, transfers, and box sales.
  • Ensure materials are properly packaged, labelled, documented, and protected for transportation.
  • Coordinate courier, LTL, air, sea, domestic, and international shipments.
  • Coordinate import and export shipments, including carrier arrangements, customs documentation, and communication with customs brokers.
  • Ensure commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS classifications, and other cross‑border shipping documents are complete and accurate.
  • Review freight charges and resolve customs holds, freight claims, documentation issues, and delivery exceptions.
  • Coordinate crating and special packaging requirements and elevate potential shipment delays.

Inventory Control and Systems Compliance

  • Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy at or above the company target.
  • Ensure all warehouse movements, picks, returns, transfers, and adjustments are properly recorded in the ERP and WMS.
  • Maintain bin discipline and investigate negative inventory, missing bins, incorrect locations, and other inventory exceptions.
  • Lead cycle counts, spot checks, annual physical counts, recounts, and inventory‑reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate bin locations, item labels, UPCs, and warehouse records.
  • Support excess and obsolete inventory disposition, warehouse consolidation, Kanban, VMI, kitting, and production‑replenishment initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce warehouse procedures and work instructions.

Safety, Quality and Facility Management

  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
  • Conduct warehouse safety inspections and ensure employees follow PPE, lifting, equipment‑operation, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, racking, loading areas, and other equipment are used safely and properly maintained.
  • Stop unsafe work and hold or quarantine damaged, unidentified, or nonconforming material when required.
  • Report and investigate safety incidents, material damage, and near misses.
  • Support ISO, financial, customer, and internal audits.
  • Apply 5S and continuous‑improvement practices throughout the warehouse.

Planning and Performance Reporting

  • Review upcoming receipts, production demand, project requirements, shortages, and shipping commitments.
  • Track and report warehouse performance, including inventory accuracy, picking and shipping accuracy, receiving turnaround time, cycle‑count completion, system compliance, safety, and productivity.
  • Recommend improvements to staffing, layout, storage capacity, equipment, and workflow.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with labour planning, warehouse budgets, and capital‑equipment proposals.

We expect our people to consistently demonstrate the following competencies in their work, decision‑making, and interactions with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders:
