The Leduc Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) is one of three Canadian PDCs that receives and distributes thousands of automotive service parts to our dealers across Canada, and is an integral part of the Ford Motor Company organization.
This position will support Outbound Operations & On-time Customer Delivery.
Work Location: Leduc, ON
Shift: Afternoon-shift (12:30pm-9:00pm)
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Completion of Post-Secondary
- Experience:
- Currently – the opening is afternoon shift; ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends, is required
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes related to safety, quality, and throughput
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Demonstrate leadership in Ford Truths behaviors, along with excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management
- Experience:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Safety and MP&L experience preferred
- Knowledge of constraint management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel:
- Carry out company policies in work expectations, discipline, training, and personnel administration
- Deliver objectives related to safety, cleanliness, quality, cost, and productivity
- Foster positive relationships with UNIFOR employees and leadership, ensuring fair administration of the contract
- Facilitate crew meetings
- Calculate daily labor requirements to optimize manpower, including overtime and vacation
- Coach on safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Create a positive work environment for employees
- Support continuous improvement and problem resolution at the lowest levels
- Build employee capabilities and foster communication and recognition
Oversee daily material handling functions to ensure proper flow from receiving to deliverySupport resource allocation to cover material handling responsibilitiesEnsure seamless parts flow through proactive planning and communicationImplement engineering change processes effectivelyIdentify data gaps and take corrective actions
