Job description

Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Winnipeg, Manitoba site is looking for a new Warehouse Associate to join our Contract Logistics team.

Your Role

This role comprises all semi-skilled warehouse tasks required to receive, store, pick and ship customer orders. The role is differentiated from General Labor by its requirement for additional material handling equipment, process, or technical skills.

Your Responsibilities
  • Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions required to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy.
  • Document and identify all discrepancies to the Team Lead.
  • Accurately complete routine documentation, such as check-in sheets for export/import, manifests, MHE inspections, and other documents pertaining to warehouse operations.
  • Perform a variety of physically demanding general labor duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer and loading the x-ray machine with unsecure cargo.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in the execution of standard warehousing processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking, and loading customer orders and products.
  • Comply with GMP requirements as applicable to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Transport Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a skill set capable of operating a variety of equipment used in a traditional warehouse environment; examples include, but are not limited to: scanners, computers, scales, pallet jacks, and various motorized material handling equipment.
  • Follow all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols. Respect customer and company property and equipment.
  • Be proactive in accident & incident prevention and fill out these reports promptly and accurately when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years warehouse (Shipping/Receiving) and forklift experience.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting with no accommodations (50lbs).
  • Experience with Dangerous Goods is preferable.
  • Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts in order to meet the requirements of the operation.
