Job description

Imperial Dade Canada, a leading national distributor, has a job opening in Vars, ON. The Warehouse Specialist is a self-motivated team player who will be an active part of our Distribution department, focusing on picking, shipping, and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and load trucks.
• Check and receive stock from suppliers.
• Load stock safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Report discrepancies to the Distribution Assistant/Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with daily warehouse housekeeping tasks.
• Report product or bin sizing errors using the Bin Location Report Form.
• Perform Daily Circle Checks on material handling equipment and complete the check form.
• Complete any required material handling courses.

Qualifications

• Experience with Raymond or Crown reach trucks required.
• Experience with warehousing and certification to operate all MHE required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and computer literacy is an asset.
• Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Self-motivated, dependable, and reliable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
• Secondary School Diploma or related experience.

Working/Other Conditions

• Work onsite in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company.
• Exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations typical of warehouse settings.
• Perform physical activities such as lifting (up to 23 kg/50 lbs), bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Operate Stand-up Material Handling Equipment as needed.
• Work extended hours as required.
