Job description

Imperial Dade Canada, a leading national distributor, has a job opening in Sherbrooke, QC. The Warehouse Specialist is a self-motivated team player who will actively participate in our Distribution department, focusing on picking, shipping, and stocking.

The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies, and equipment in the U.S. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, the company serves customers across various B2B segments including supermarkets, healthcare facilities, universities, and restaurants. Responsibilities
  • Pick orders and load trucks.
  • Check and receive stock from suppliers.
  • Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient loading of stock.
  • Report discrepancies to the Distribution Assistant/Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Assist with daily warehouse housekeeping tasks.
  • Report product or bin sizing errors using the Bin Location Report Form.
  • Perform Daily Circle Checks on material handling equipment and complete the check form.
  • Complete any required material handling courses.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Raymond or Crown reach trucks is required.
  • Previous warehousing experience; certification to operate all MHE is required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of WMS systems are assets.
  • Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and reliable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
  • Decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent experience.
Working/Other Conditions
  • Work onsite in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company.
  • Exposure to typical warehouse hazards, noise, and vibrations.
  • Repetitive physical activities, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Operate stand-up material handling equipment as required.
  • Work extended hours if necessary.
