Trouw Nutrition is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Westlock, Alberta.

About The Role: This position focuses on shipping/receiving, warehouse operations and bagging duties, while also supporting other roles within our production team.

Responsibilities:

  • Loading trucks via forklift and scanning products

  • Inventory counting & control

  • Operate machines and computer systems to produce animal feed promptly, meeting or exceeding production targets

  • Perform various tasks, including receiving and shipping ingredients and finished feeds

  • Maintain documentation for Food Safety and adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards

  • Assist in housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks as needed

  • Operate machines (i.e. forklift), meeting or exceeding shipping/receiving targets.

  • Perform various tasks, including receiving and shipping ingredients and finished feeds.

  • Collaborate with team members to uphold company standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Provide relief and holiday coverage and be cross-trained for various roles within the team.

  • Participate in cross-training to effectively perform various roles within the production team.

  • Regularly participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a grain facility, mill or manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Forklift experience is required

  • Skid steer experience is an asset

  • Class 5 driver’s license is an asset

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills with attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Expectation from the Role:

  • Full-time position with shift work rotation specially in the bagging line and overtime and weekends as required.

  • Mon-Fri Shift schedule, weekends as required:Shift hours between 6am-8pm for the warehouse, hours could vary and could rotate weekly

  • Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

  • Ability to regularly bend, twist, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions, including loud sounds and dust.
