Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a professional Security Guard for our warehouse facility in Edmonton, Alberta. The role focuses on access control, patrols, and surveillance to maintain a safe environment for personnel and assets.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, responding to incidents, and coordinating with management and responders. The position is full-time with a 1730-2300 shift, Monday to Friday, at a pay rate of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid AB Security Guard License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, and contractor credentials.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols to identify hazards and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment to ensure site security.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, and security-related situations.
• Prepare accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Enforce site security policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points to protect assets.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Coordinate with supervisors and emergency responders during incidents.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft and unauthorized access.
