Allied Universal is seeking a professional Security Guard to join our Security Operations team at a warehouse facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Location is Edmonton, Alberta with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour and a full-time employment type.

Shift runs 1730-2300, Monday to Friday, with one vacancy. The role involves monitoring and controlling access, conducting patrols, and ensuring safety across the site, including CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and collaboration with management and

Qualifications

• Valid AB Security Guard License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Experience with access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather.
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols and identify hazards.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security equipment for site security.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security-related situations.
• Prepare accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Enforce security policies and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Coordinate with supervisors and emergency responders during incidents.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.
