Job summary

Doman Building Materials Group Ltd in Blainville, QC is seeking a Warehouse Person to assemble products for customer orders, load trucks, and manage inbound inventory. This permanent full-time role is based on-site at 651 Industrial Boulevard, with hours Monday to Thursday.

The position requires forklift certification, minimal warehouse experience, and the ability to lift 50 lb regularly. We offer a base salary with annual incentives, health benefits, a group pension plan with employer matching

Qualifications

• Forklift certification (Counterbalance) is required.
• General building materials knowledge is advantageous.
• Minimum one year warehouse experience and familiarity with order picking.
• Able to lift 23 kg (50 lb) regularly and up to 38 kg (85 lb) occasionally.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials from delivery trucks and place safely in the warehouse.
• Accurately pick and assemble customer orders for shipment.
• Process receiving tallies and packing slips promptly.
• Load orders onto customer trucks; assist drivers as needed.
• Conduct regular spot inventory counts and restock returns.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Person is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto customers’ trucks, receiving inventory from suppliers, and receiving and restocking customer returns.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

• Unloads building material supplies safely and promptly from delivery trucks and properly places in the warehouse.
• Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders.
• Processes receiving tallies and packing slips without delay.
• Assists customers by loading orders onto delivery trucks.
• Conducts spot inventory counts.
• Receives and restocks inventory returns.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
• Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
• Adheres to customer service commitments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Certification in the following equipment is required: Counterbalance Forklift.
• General building materials knowledge is an asset and preferred.
• Minimum one-year warehouse experience and be familiar with order picking process.
• Able to lift to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms regularly and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
• Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
• Receiving experience an asset.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 10:30 pm
