Job summary

Rogers Place in Edmonton is seeking a part-time Warehouse Order Picker to fulfill inventory requests for arena events. You will select, organize, and distribute food, beverage, and operational supplies, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This seasonal, on-site role requires 1-3 years of warehouse experience (asset), ability to lift 40-50 lbs, reading and basic math, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years warehouse experience is an asset.
• Ability to work any shift including weekends.
• Ability to read and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of warehouse location layout.
• Safety rules and procedures knowledge.
• Inbound/outbound process knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, and lift.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Picks and prepares orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure correct items and locations on orders.
• Break down pallets and deliver to multiple areas.
• Deliver picked product accurately to secure locations.
• Receive returned inventory and restock per dates.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Perform tasks as required by operations supervisor/manager.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Description

The Warehouse Order Picker fulfils inventory requests by selecting, organizing, and distributing food, beverage, and operational supplies for arena events. Supports with monitoring stock levels, maintained inventory accuracy, and ensured products were delivered efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Picks and prepares orders in an accurate, efficient, and productive manner.
• Responsible for ensuring that all orders are properly identified with the correct items and location.
• Break down pallets in an efficient and productive manner and deliver to multiple areas within location.
• Delivers picked product in an accurate and efficient manner, ensuring that the orders are placed in the proper and secure locations.
• Receive returned inventory and put it back into stock based on best before dates.
• Observes, reports and corrects (when appropriate) all unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause employee accidents.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Performs all related requests, tasks and processes as required from operations supervisor/manager.
• Complies with Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Considerable skill in efficiently lifting, stacking and building quality carts and pallets.
• Skill in operating warehouse equipment: i.e., motorized Pallet Jack, Carts, dollies, etc...
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, and lift up to and including 40-50lbs frequently.
• Skill in meeting production standards.
• Skill in communicating effectively with supervisors and department managers.
