Job Title: Warehouse Operations Associate (Food)

Location: Mitchell Island, Richmond, BC
No public transit available — personal vehicle required. On-site parking provided.
Starting Date: ASAP
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts starting between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Includes a 30-min unpaid meal break and a 20-min paid coffee break. Approx. 5 hrs/week of overtime as needed.
Compensations: $43-44K/year
Benefits: Group insurance (extended health, dental, vision care, prescription drugs, life insurance) after 3-month probation period
Main Job duties:
1. Receiving and Shipping Operations
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
- Picking, packing, wrapping pallets, preparing orders for shipment, storing products in refrigerator/freezer
- Assisting delivery drivers as needed
- Record incoming material Lot number, Qty recording, record inbound/outbound log. (Scan PDF as needed)
- Take picture of defects (ripped bags etc.) and report to a relevant department
- organize pallet pictures and upload files.
2. Inventory Management and Order Processing
- Managing inventory (record keeping and reporting to relevant departments)
- Counting inventory and reporting shortages
- Handling Return to Vendor (RTV) processes and communicating with vendors
- Communicate with truck or supplier for the delivery (if necessary)
- Wrapping the pallets.
- Share receiving/shipping schedules to relevant dept.
- Report refrigerator/freezer or any warehouse issues that are confirmed
3. Forklift and Equipment Operation
- Operating forklifts and pallet jacks to organize products and materials
- Performing minor maintenance, equipment checks, conducting safety checks and reporting any issues
- Daily Forklift check and request for approval.
4. Warehouse Cleaning and Safety Management
- Cleaning and organizing the warehouse
- Maintaining a safe working environment by following safety rules
- Wearing appropriate safety gear and adhering to safety protocols
5. Team Collaboration
- Coordinating with other departments and team members
- Communication skills (English writing and reading skills needed)
- Proposing improvements for workflow efficiency
- Correspond to Quality system and system improvement to meet HACCP/SQF/FSSC22000 requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong English communication skills
- Physically able to lift up to 30 kg
- Japanese language skills an asset
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willing to assist with both production and cleaning tasks
- Personal vehicle or reliable transportation required (no public transit available)
