Job summary

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances in Brandon is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler for our Brandon store at 1885-18th St N. You will receive products, prepare outbound shipments, and maintain inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.

This role also covers setup and takedown of advertising, occasional home deliveries, and general store upkeep. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid Class 5 driver's license, and be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.
• Criminal Record Check is required.
• Experience with inventory systems is a plus.

As a Warehouse Merchandise Handler you will responsible for efficient and accurate compliance with teams and provides support for visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick‑ups, and movement of goods and merchandise.

As The Warehouse Merchandise Handler, You Will

• Receive product, product returns, accessories and supplies and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for the warehouse and sales floor.
• Look after maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e. grass cutting, shovelling, cleanliness).
• Conduct general store internal maintenance (i.e. light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy‑person duties, garbage).
• Support loading and unloading of freight trailers.
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
• Be responsible for advertising setup and takedown.
• Assist with home deliveries as required.

As a Successful Candidate You Will Have The Following

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with clean Driver’s abstract.
• At least three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in‑house inventory management systems.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.
• Safety footwear is required.
• Criminal Record Check is required.
