Job summary

Richelieu Hardware is seeking a Warehouse – Material Handler at the Vancouver, BC branch. The position involves providing excellent customer service, retrieving orders, and assembling loads. You will assist drivers, help unload and load goods, and, after training, operate forklifts while maintaining product integrity.

The role requires a current forklift certification, strong safety practices, and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment. High school completion is expected.

• Current Forklift Certification.
• Good knowledge of safe working procedures.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years previous warehouse work experience.

• Experience and knowledge in building materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and retrieve orders.
• Assist in gathering materials to build loads/orders.
• Assist truck drivers to load building supplies onto trucks for delivery.
• Operate the forklifts once training and certification has been achieved.
• Help unload transport trucks with product.
• Practice proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to inventory.
• Keep the workspace area clean and presentable in appearance.
