Job description

Our Edmonton, AB store location is searching for qualified candidates for a Warehouse Material Handler role. This position is full-time, permanent, and based in our showroom warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Unload containers delivered to the warehouse by use of pallet jacks, dollies, etc., and organize the store and merchandise.
2. Assist with loading onto delivery trucks; ensure the accuracy of the picked products.
3. Prepare pallets for outbound shipments, including the wrapping of products.
4. Assist with the pickup of merchandise by customers at the loading dock and safely place purchased items into the customer vehicle once the paperwork has been reviewed and completed.
5. Will be asked to assist drivers with completing deliveries.
6. May also act as a backup Forklift Operator; experience with Reach Trucks would be a definite asset.

Qualifications:

1. Forklift experience; if needed, you will be provided training certification on the Reach Truck.
2. Ability to lift 50-100lbs.
3. Knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset.
4. Work well with others, possess a strong safety orientation, and demonstrate attention to detail in handling paperwork.
5. Adequate capability in handling basic math and completing paperwork.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Hourly rate: $18.50 per hour.

Day shift schedule: Monday to Friday - 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; and participation in a Saturday shift rotation.
