WAREHOUSE MANAGER-IN-TRAINING (MIT) PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure smooth operation of a busy warehouse, including shipping, receiving, inventory, delivery, merchandising, packaging, and maintenance
• Manage the warehouse team
• Handle product securely and accurately, managing large inventories
• Oversee maintenance and safe operation of equipment such as lift trucks, bins, delivery trucks, and service vehicles
• Train and develop staff, building a future management talent pool
• Conduct recruitment activities, including interviews, hiring, and onboarding
• Ensure compliance with provincial legislative requirements
• Review and distribute warehouse reports regularly
• Resolve customer issues and ensure safe product delivery
• Maintain safety and security of the store, associates, and customers
• Chair Health and Safety meetings and facilitate warehouse communications
• Support team development and foster a collaborative environment
• Coordinate with the home office for feedback and information sharing
• Manage daily store operations and ensure policy compliance
• Prepare and lead effective meetings
• Support the General Manager and other managers
• Complete various operational reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
