Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver and Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and the shipping/receiving process. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensure compliance with TDG and IATA regulations, and maintain accurate records across ERP systems.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years in shipping/receiving within manufacturing or labs, TDG certification, and strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple

Qualifications

  • Current TDG Certification (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, industrial, or logistics environment.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping.
  • Knowledge of courier shipping, LTL/FTL, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience preparing Dangerous Goods documentation and shipments.
  • Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience shipping regulated products, chemicals, laboratory samples, or dangerous goods.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and storage areas.
  • Prepare, package, process, and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage and accuracy, and process receiving documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments via courier, LTL, and FTL.
  • Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, export docs, DG declarations, and origin certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with TDG and IATA DG Regulations and carrier requirements.
  • Coordinate customs clearance with freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Track shipments and resolve transportation issues and delays.
  • Maintain inventory and shipping records in ERP/inventory systems.
  • Oversee cylinder cleaning processes and manage internal/external requests.
  • Operate forklifts and perform inspections; support continuous process improvements.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver and Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory management, and domestic and international shipping and receiving. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, laboratory supplies, equipment, and customer samples while maintaining compliance with all applicable transportation and dangerous goods regulations. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, a solid understanding of warehouse operations, transportation logistics, inventory control, and shipping documentation, and experience coordinating shipments across multiple transportation modes, including courier, LTL, and FTL. Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification is required. IATA Dangerous Goods Certification is considered a strong asset.

What you will be doing:
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the warehouse, shipping/receiving, and storage areas.
  • Prepare, package, process, and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage and accuracy, and process receiving documentation.
  • Arrange and coordinate shipments via:
    • Courier services (FedEx, UPS, DHL, Purolator, etc.)
    • Less‑Than‑Truckload (LTL)
    • Full Truckload (FTL)
  • Prepare shipping documents including:
    • Commercial Invoices
    • Bills of Lading (BOL)
    • Packing Lists
    • Export Documentation
    • Dangerous Goods Declarations
    • Certificates of Origin (when required)
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations
    • IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (when applicable)
    • Carrier‑specific shipping requirements
  • Coordinate customs clearance activities and work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation issues and delays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records within ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Oversee our cylinder cleaning processes and manage internal and external requests.
  • Load and unload shipments safely using material handling equipment as required.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and ensure equipment inspections are completed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping/receiving and warehouse environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and warehouse operations.
What you bring to the table:
  • Current TDG Certification (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, industrial, or logistics environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with both domestic and international shipping.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Courier shipping
    • LTL and FTL freight
    • Warehouse operations
    • Inventory management

  • Experience preparing Dangerous Goods documentation and shipments.
