What you will be doing :

  1. Analyze and diagnose customer equipment problems and breakdowns.
  2. Recommend the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems.
  3. Make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the customer’s equipment.
  4. Perform scheduled equipment maintenance per customer contract.
  5. Follow all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company.
  6. Document each service call, providing the necessary paperwork.
  7. Observe all safety procedures, and ensure hazardous waste is properly disposed.
  8. Other duties as required and assigned.
  9. For food accounts, report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Experience with power tools, lifts, and hoists.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
