Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • 1 year of related mechanical or electrical maintenance experience or training.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Experience with automated machinery and conveyors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs on conveyors and automated equipment to keep operations running.
  • Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and specify corrective actions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance per customer contracts and company procedures.
  • Document service calls and ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Work on-call weekends and handle other duties as assigned.

WAREHOUSE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

The Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance of company-occupied buildings including troubleshooting, repairs, and scheduled maintenance based on customer needs and requirements.

What you will be doing:
  • Minor repairs on conveyers and automated equipment to keep running during shift
  • Analyses and diagnoses customer equipment problems and breakdowns
  • Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
  • Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the customer’s equipment
  • Performs scheduled equipment maintenance per customer contract
  • Follows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company
  • Documents each service call, providing the necessary paperwork
  • Observes all safety procedures, and makes certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed
  • Oncall weekends
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • For food accounts, the incumbent is responsible for reporting food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger,
    handle, or feel.
  • The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside
    weather conditions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training in mechanical or electrical specialty
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance
  • Experience with automated machinery, hand and power tools, lifts, conveyer systems and hoists
  • Possesses a forklift, reach and/or order picker PIT licence
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to communicate to various stakeholders
