The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing multi-site warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping. This role is vital in supporting Conair's aerial firefighting missions by ensuring the availability, security, and compliance of all materials across seven storage locations on the CONAIR site in Abbotsford, BC. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager will act as a strategic partner in driving continuous improvement initiatives across all logistics and storage operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of mission-critical supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Logistics & Supply Chain Support

  • Ensure timely receipt and dispatch of aircraft parts and conversion materials.
  • Work closely with procurement and maintenance teams to align warehouse operations with mission demands.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of supplies to maintain operational readiness.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Train employees on proper handling of hazardous materials, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to FAA, OSHA, and environmental regulations regarding warehouse operations.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce warehouse security measures.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement lean inventory practices to minimize waste and improve workflow.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, shrinkage, and warehouse performance for management review.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience in aviation or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and customers.
  • Ability to pivot efficiently to satisfy production demands as instructed.
  • Decisive and self-motivated to meet department objectives while maintaining exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in technical English.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, especially during wildfire seasons.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Forklift certification, Hazmat Training, or OSHA safety certification (preferred).
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and general computer skills is an asset.
