Position Summary

We are seeking Warehouse Leadhand to join our growing team! As a Warehouse Leadhand, you will supervise employees, oversee receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and ensure smooth coordination with production. You will handle inventory counts, quality checks, and daily reports while maintaining safety and organization. You will also step in for managers when needed and support process improvements.

AM: 06:00 - 14:00, Thursday to Monday

Please note: you will work every weekend

Reports to Warehouse Manager

Supervises 1 to 5 warehouse personnel each shift

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Provide direct supervision of, assign duties to, and generally lead warehouse employees.
  2. Oversee and coordinate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties.
  3. Coordinate closely with production shift leadership during shifts.
  4. Ensure timely and efficient material transfer to and from production.
  5. Carry out receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties.
  6. Assist in conducting cycle counts, and ad hoc inventory counts.
  7. Execute daily operational tasks provided by warehouse management.
  8. Escalate operational or personnel issues to warehouse management.
  9. Perform quality check on received products.
  10. Ensure warehouse is kept clean and tidy, including leaving proper space in aisles.
  11. Provide warehouse management with daily shift reports.
  12. Oversee warehouse operations in the absence of warehouse managers.
  13. Enforce safety standards in the warehouse with all employees, regardless of department or level.
  14. Report safety violations to warehouse management.
  15. Follow all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain safety, quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  16. Participate in and provide suggestions for the development and continuous improvement of all departmental processes.

Additional

  1. Check all major equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks regularly and report repairs to maintenance.
  2. Ensure all facility damage is reported immediately to maintenance and warehouse management.
  3. Participate in and further the Company’s health & safety program.
  4. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
  5. Report quality deficiencies immediately.
  6. Manage special projects as required.
  7. Other related duties.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  1. Fluent in verbal and written English.
  2. 3 years of experience working in a warehouse.
  3. 1 year of experience supervising others.
  4. Forklift certification.

Assets

  1. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Skills

  1. Willingness to learn.
  2. Proficient in the basics of mathematics (adding and subtracting).
  3. Basic proficiency in using computers.
  4. Basic proficiency in using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  1. Must be in good health with no communicable diseases or dust allergies.
  2. Must wear approved non-slip safety shoes.
  3. Must follow appropriate gowning procedure before going into production area.
  4. Follow health & safety regulations.
