Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing.
  • Ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks by warehouse staff.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment and supplies, ordering new items when needed.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including new hires.
  • Train and mentor warehouse employees.
  • Assign tasks and workloads to team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Enforce and maintain safety protocols and procedures.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and levels within JDE and on the shelves.
  • Identify and address inventory discrepancies by working with Purchasing Department.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and other departments, including Customer Service and Dispatch.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly.

Backup for Warehouse Manager:

  • Act as a backup for the District Manager in their absence.
  • Maintain smooth operations and ensure all tasks are completed.

Qualifications:

  • Work accurately with a high attention to detail
  • A team player who is able to work within tight deadlines
  • Computer proficiency- JDE and Equip programs an asset
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a warehouse or related environment
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions
