Boart Longyear is an integrated drilling services and drilling products provider, producing, manufacturing and operating equipment for the minerals industry, with a drilling presence in water exploration, environmental sampling, energy and oil sands exploration. The Company operates in Asia Pacific, Canada, USA, South America, Europe and Africa.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to fill a position that will be based in our Val D’Or, Quebec Distribution Center. This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

The Val d’Or Warehouse Team Lead will oversee the operation of all shipments of goods to and from suppliers and customers. Primary focus will be servicing Boart Longyear Drilling Services and 3rd party customers in Quebec. The incumbent will be expected to oversee various warehouse activities including training, inventory cycle counts, warehouse safety, KPI metrics, and other activities required to run the business. The incumbent will report directly to the Canada Distribution Manager.

The incumbent will conduct daily staff meetings, contribute to development of standard local processes, build key metrics and monitor/intervene as appropriate, report out and provide technical and analytical support to the Regional Supply Chain and Operational Leaders. This role will also work closely with the local DS Materials Manager and Customer Service teams to solicit feedback on performance and provide customer support.

The incumbent will also be expected to supervise a number of warehouse clerks based in Val d’Or. Providing direction and leadership will be a key attribute of this role.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must be fluent in both official languages (French and English)
• Computer skills (Data Entry - numeric and alpha)
• Experience with Oracle or other related inventory management systems.
• Ability to work under minimal or no supervision.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
• Good communication skills
• Other general duties as assigned
• This position requires ongoing physical demands including heavy lifting, bending, walking, standing.

Position Qualifications:

• Fluent in both official languages (French and English) capable of meeting the labour demands of the position.
• Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
• Previous related experience to drilling services is an asset.
• Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
• Great team player with the ability to take direction constructively.

Education and Experience:

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of previous relevant experience to warehouse services
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisor position
• Candidate must be fluent in both official languages (French and English)

Reporting Relationship
The position reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager, who is located in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario.
