Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking a Warehouse Helper/Runner to support inventory control, loading/unloading HVAC equipment, and timely deliveries to job sites. The role requires physical effort, forklift familiarity, and the ability to work closely with Installation and Sales teams.

You will help stage equipment, scan serialized items, and assist with truck inspections and maintenance while contributing to a smooth flow of information and customer history data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. (and greater with assistance).
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good organizational skills.
• Computer skills including scanning, email, data collection.
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Forklift license or experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow as part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Organize and help inventory HVAC equipment and materials, including loading/unloading and scanning serialized equipment into the system.
• Stage HVAC equipment and materials prior to installations.
• Document and report stock quantities to prevent work stoppages due to inventory gaps.
• Make deliveries as needed by Installation crews.
• Load and unload at job sites as required.
• Assist Installations crews with daily truck inspections and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with Installation, Sales, and Workforce Planning to ensure accurate installation information and customer history files.
• Refurbish water heaters and remove newer components on scrapped heaters.
• Perform duties as assigned.

What will you do?

• Responsible to organize and help inventory HVAC equipment and materials, including loading and unloading of equipment, and scanning and entering serialized equipment into system.


• Staging of HVAC equipment and materials prior to installations.


• Document and report on Stock quantities to ensure no stoppage of work due to inadequate Equipment inventory.


• Make deliveries as may be required by Installation crews.


• Load and unload at job sites as required.


• Assist Installation crews with daily truck inspections and assure regularly scheduled truck maintenance is being carried out.


• Work closely with Installation, Sales, and Workforce Planning departments to assure smooth and accurate flow of installation information, model and serial numbers and any other documentation required for accurate customer history files.


• Refurbishing of water heaters and removing newer components on scrapped heaters.


• Perform duties as assigned.
